Personal Interests

When she is not working, Dr. Edwards enjoys quality time with her husband, their daughter, and their two other canine kids. She is committed to a healthy lifestyle that includes a nutritious diet, regular exercise, and chocolate. As a passionate advocate for the young women of her community, she has been an active member of L8R Baby- A Coalition to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, as well as a founding member, coach and current board chair for Girls on the Run of the Shenandoah Valley. She believes in her heart, we will positively impact our future by empowering young girls to confidently pursue their dreams.

Biography

Dr. Edwards is originally from Buffalo, NY. She attended Cornell University for her undergraduate studies, completing her Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor relations in 1994. She then received her Medical Degree in 1999 from the State University of New York at Buffalo. After electing to pursue a medical career caring for women, she completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York in 2003. She then entered private practice. She joined Winchester Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2006. She is grateful to work with the women of Winchester OBGYN and make her home in the Shenandoah Valley.
